Per diem position. Assists in the supervision of the nursing care in the Interventional Radiology Department. Actively assists physician during IR/Cardiac Cath procedures, performs pre and post operative care. Performs patient call-backs to follow up on care.
Provides supervision and nursing guidance to the nurses in the Interventional Radiology unit.
Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs in order to provide quality care to interventional radiology patients. Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing intervention and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient. Evaluates the identified problems, care provided and ensures that patient's responses are re-assessed to meet patient and family needs to assure overall quality of care delivered. Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team, to ensure total quality care.
Demonstrates knowledge of anesthetic/sedative agents, techniques, and actions.
Current Idaho RN license. ACLS, BLS required.
Critical Care experience required.
Previous experience working in Interventional Radiology or Cath lab preferred. Advanced certification not required but preferred.
Flexible rotating shifts include weekdays and weekends, rotating call.
